RIP OFF COMPANY 'WATCH OUT"

There is only a 90 day warranty on the LAMP. I had this item from Sharp for a little over a year. The lamp had 59% life on it but went dark on me. I had to unplug the device numerouse time because after putting it in the sleep mode the remote wouldn'tallow me tpo turn it back on. It came with a 3 year warranty (24 hour replacemnt)and had it for almost a full week and they are currently holding my Projector hostage. They are claiming that my lamp warranty has expired I barely used it since I am in school and used it a couple of hours on week days and about 4 to 6 hours on weekends. It dropped from 49% to 63 % in the lamp life and when I sent it in to them it had already dropped to 59% lamp usage. All of this in the economy mode. I wouldn't buy another thing from this company because the lamp s/h all comes to almost $600 almost the cost of a brand new projector. Great little projector

I have been using this projector for classroom Power Point presentations and it has been great. It works fine in a well lit environment although if you have very detailed graphics or want richly saturated colors you may have to dim the lights. Great for a very large computer monitor

I have this installed in my living room throwing a 84" image. It's very bright and can compete very well with sunlight coming in through the windows. The colors are vivid as well. Home Theatre Replacement Projector Sharp XR-32X

I've only had this projector for a couple of days but it looks stunning on my 10' screen (106" diagonnal 16:9).

It replaced an HP VP 6320 that I really loved and this looks just as good.

I am using this as a home theatre projector and it comes well-equipped for that job. It has a DVI-D port (easy to find adapter that changes it to an HDMI) and it is DHCP compliant so there are no upscaling issues or other "digital rights" problems.

I am using it to view HD-DVD's and Blu Ray discs and while it doesn't do 1080P it does handle 1080i and 720P with perfection.

Bright enough for a normal room with normal lighting (you don't have to turn off lights to see this bright picture. yet blacks are black and colors are vibrant.

The cheapest 1080p projector out there is still well-over 2 thousand dollars so if you aren't quite ready to sell out $2500 for a 1080p projector consider the Sharp XR-32X which renders perfection on the screen for less than $800 ($795 at Sam's and Amazon).

Nice projector for the price

I just bought the XR-32S early this week for $475 (ad special at Fy's) not too bad for a 2500 lumens projector.

My primary use is for projecting movies outputted from my Macbook Pro onto a Gemmy 12-foot inflatable screen in the backyard. This definitely does the trick in terms of brightness.

The contrast looks good; picture quality is a little more than sufficient. If you get close the picture does look a little pixilated when projecting from some distance. Slight squares are present but not too distracting. Indoors the picture looks great.



Advice for other Mac users--

The SHARP XR-32S DOES NOT have Mac DVI input I needed to buy a separate DVI-VGA converter. It claimed to be Mac-compatible out of the box - definitely not the case.



The SHARP XR-32X is Mac compatible requiring no converter cable.

I wish I would have known that before buying.
